Child of this world

I'm the lonely, sad child
Of this cynical world
Where the love demands payment
And true friendship is gone.

Often I wonder why people are cold
As I feel myself turning
Piece by piece into stone
Setting aside who I am for a dream,
That I'm not even wanting,
But somehow fits some need…

Wish I lived for myself,
Not for somebody else;
But I'm eager for love,
Some acceptance of sorts

Watching these people all around me
Some who will friend me,
Some who will be mean...
Do I just close my heart to avoid all the pain?
It's so random what happens,
The stories we live...
Yet it's all set in order
And we know how it ends.

May it be bliss and glory
Or heartache, or hate,
We're all acting this story,
Play our part ‘till the end.

I'm the one that is dragging
I'm the one that breaks loose
I'm the one that can't stand this
I'm the one that feels used
Do we all treasure drama?
Love as much as we hate?

I feel distant and major
I'm above and beyond
As I look down the coldness
Of some ignorant Gods
They are ants that had power,
Puppeteers of my soul,
For I granted them wisdom
Made them feel they’re above;
I allowed them to rule me
Shared with them all I'm worth.

I'm the cynical child
Of this lonely, sad world.

Indecision

It started in a chat room
You asked if I’m around
I said: “I’m almost leaving,
But write me later on.”

We shared a candle dinner
And had a glass of wine,
A beer in an old bar
And said we’d meet again.

Chorus:

Careless indecisions
Silence and illusions
I’m in sorrow land.
All I have is feelings
This heart thorn in millions
Hopes all was not in vane.
Thoughts are racing by,
My heart ‘s an open cry.
Just say you feel the same
Or was it just a game?
Careless indecision
Sorrow and confusion;
All I have is feelings,
This heart thorn in millions…
Was it just a game?
Thoughts are racing by,
My heart ’s an open cry.
Once you felt the same
            Was it all in vain?

As weeks were passing by
You couldn’t hide your pride
And being next to me
Was all that you could see.

We argued and we kissed
‘Cause nothing can be missed
When feelings have evolved
Beyond a simple call.
Chorus….

And then you disappeared
No word and no decision.
My heart is in the wind
You’re love is all I need.

Dismay and disillusion
Keep seeking a conclusion
I sit here at the end
And can’t stop hitting “send”.

Friendship (To a friend…)

You let go, I hold on -
Time will tell if I'm wrong -
'Cause beyond moving on
One makes two become strong.

Count on me till the end;
The one promise I owe
To myself, as your FRIEND,
Is to not be a faux.

There's a word from the wise
As wheels turn comes a time
When you'll need me likewise
For a hug or a dime...

Thought of the day:

Denisa (2011- present)

- I'm perfectly imperfect, and I'm ok with it. Here's to those who feel the same!

- Remember the past, envision the future.

- Love me for who I am, not for who I (or you) wish I could be...

- Young American immigrants: nowhere people in nobody's land.

- There's a small gap between difference and indifference. Sometimes too small...

- I'm sick of men who "care enough about me to let me go"; I long for a true man - one who cares enough about me to want to make me happy.

- being on a $50/month food budget = best way to loose weight.

- When you give a hand, you receive back a hand, or a finger, or, sometimes, a punch. But I know my hand will always be extended. And, thankfully, some remember who is attached to that hand.

- I don't ask for much; but when I can't get want I ask for, I guess it must be a lot.

- What is life ... but a delusion in which we all choose to believe?

- porter sq = the creative/insightful
Kendal sq= the ingenious
Harvard sq= the witty
Dorchester = the wicked ... cool.
Hey, everybody starts as a "student". :-)

- The smartest question I heard today: "If you can't afford to pay the price for the "priority queue", are you still "in line" for the American dream?" - Benjamen Walker.(Context: we pay a premium to go to great schools, get advanced boarding on a plane, ride in the fast lane (in some cities), or buy a "fast pass" to skip the lines in an amusement park. Faster access/skipping the lines if you can afford it, seems to be a fair opportunity, a matter of choice and very much in line with the "American" values). "Please, continue waiting..."

- Ok, here's a fun one for you: we all know the tie can represent power, loyalty, individuality, rebellion, respectability etc. But... is the tie a phallic symbol?

USED:
- "Circumstantial" mathematics: like it or not, when 1+1=0, 1-1 often equals 2.
- You can ignore me, but my ideas still stand.
- Maybe I am an idealist; I try to see the world as I wish it could be everyday.
- Mathematically, there's only so much you can get from life. The rest is imagination, willpower and "what you make of it".
- I respect people for who and what they actually are, not for what they meant to me.
- I need another "nail"...

- Have vision! It's the only thing that will distinguish you from the crowds. And keep in mind: when you surround yourself with people that have no purpose, you tend to loose your own purpose in life.

Life is like a racetrack: so many obstacles, so many tight corners to turn and fake friends to avoid... And it may seem like a challenging joyride; but when you finally understand that this is a race to the end, you suddenly push the brakes, think for a few seconds, put it in "park", get out of the car and breath in the air - if there is any left.

- "Man, am I gonna regret this in tomorrow land" - Sleeping Beauty. (Wait wait don't tell me - the dudes who "crack" me up).

There's a famous saying: "Many called, but few are chosen". When it comes to friends, I don't pick and choose. My only choice is to try to be the best friend I can be to those whom I'm blessed to cross paths with in life.
Thank you for choosing to be such great friends to me!
Your uniqueness and diversity makes up and reflects in little parts of the person I am today. You are amazing just by being yourselves!

Thought of the day: Life is a lot easier for everyone when people chose to be friendly and helpful.

- My hair is a lot like me: it fully appreciates free will.

- (more like - dilemma of the day): Say your boss is a great gull and she buys everyone in your group tickets for a raffle; you win. Would you split the winnings with her or keep everything?

- Tell me what you want and I'll tell you what you need
